WHO WE ARE?

LxS is a global platform that aspires to build fresh perspective and work on an alternative approach in the fields of architecture & urbanism, heritage conservation, design & arts, and social and environmental issues. LxS aims to create an organic ecosystem by interlinking resources and expert professionals across international communities that believe in making contribution to our vision.
LxS amalgamates local aspects and social elements in every step of the process. We believe our duty as a creative cooperative must respond from local scope, respecting the social context and the history behind; to the vision of the whole society and its challenges for incoming generations.

LOCAL represents MICRO, subspace, locality, specific communities, rural areas, minorities, vernacular settlements, traditional techniques, heritage culture.

SOCIETY signifies MACRO, universe, global smart cities, connectivity and knowledge disclosure, new technologies & future sustainable solutions.

OUR APPROACH/ PHILOSOPHY

Aware of the complexity of today´s world, our team, strong and sincere, declares humbleness and good intentions to contribute to the world´s improvement with our knowledge and expertise.
Collaboration with academic and professional fields and acceptance of new horizontal systems where everyone´s opinion is listened and considered. Our skills, tasks and scopes will keep oscillating between several fields to respond to the complex scenario more efficiently.

Regarding working processes, authority and acknowledgement will be defined by the grade of commitment and the current capacity of the team to bring solutions. Knowledge and comprehensive understanding of society is our basic requirement for critical analysis. Moreover, we commit to developing a decisive and practical method to culminate the previous investigation with particular alternatives to a specific targeted issue.

WHAT’S GOING ON

Adding pillar to a larger umbrella, LxS has instigated Ahmedabad World Heritage City. Aim of this initiative is to break the conventional notion of heritage preservation, moving from a conservationist approach to a contemporary adaptation of old fabric to new times. We believe, knowledge exchange and extensive collaboration of academia and practitioners is the key factor, which can ignite the new approach towards urban revitalization. LXS platform is one such initiative that will become a catalyst in developing a new approach to heritage rehabilitation.

The aim is to create a platform which holds all the aspects related to the physical and intangible heritage and break the existing centralization of knowledge by creating labs/courses/workshops/projects where professionals from all over the world will be invited to work in India with aim of solving specific challenges using different expertise and tools. The extensive collaboration will bring the right minds to work together in the same direction and spread the vision across the globe.

The Creative Team is responsible for constantly bringing new ideas and perspectives. With previous experience in academic and professional field, they combine arts and science to elaborate a harmonic and broader vision in the form of exquisite innovations. They made the first draft of what we are now and those one would call in case of doubt or piece of advice.

MANAGEMENT

Drsytva’s Team has the experience and the courage we need to overcome those stressful and tense events happening during the process. And more than this, they are capable of converting a vague idea in a precise and organized strategy to become real. They make this machine running and they are those one would call in case of trouble and desperation.

Several institutions have decided to join this journey. They understood our vision and shared their strength and resources to develop academic programs and implement future alternatives. They have committed to raise the impact of the initiative and they are those one would call in need of help, guidance and protection.

We work as a solar system where LxS project is the central star and our different collaborators are the planets orbiting around it. Establishing an analogy with the ‘Universal Gravitation Law’, our members closer to the core will have a higher level of involvement and responsibility, while those furthest will have a peripheral contribution. According to their skills, jurisdictions and temporary assignments, collaborators will belong to different sectors of the orbit.

The distance between their specific positions will determinate links and micro associations, creating a dynamic brunch of connections and a combination of hybrid teams depending on the challenge to solve.
